Privacy Policy
How canisuesomebody.com handles the intake information you provide and when it is shared with our sponsor firm.
Effective April 1, 2026
1. What this notice covers
This privacy policy describes how canisuesomebody.com ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Florida-only personal injury intake and estimate tool (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to produce an estimate and, if you choose, to route your matter to our sponsor firm:
- Intake information you provide: incident type, incident date, Florida county, ZIP code, narrative of what happened, injuries and treatment, representation status, and similar case facts.
- Contact information you provide: full name, email address, phone number, city, and preferred language.
- Technical information collected automatically: IP address, user agent, referrer, and a short-lived session cookie used to maintain the password gate.
3. How we use your information
- To validate your intake and generate an informational estimate range.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
- If you press the share button on the estimate screen, to transmit your intake to the sponsor firm described in our sponsor disclosure.
- To keep minimal internal records of leads, duplicate checks, and delivery attempts.
4. When we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share intake information with our sponsor personal injury law firm only after you explicitly press the share button on the estimate screen. We may also share information with vendors that host the Service, with our professional advisors, or when required by law or legal process.
5. Your choices
- You can leave the site at any time before pressing the share button, and no lead will be transmitted.
- You can request deletion of an intake you submitted by emailing us at the address below. We may retain limited records needed for legal or audit purposes.
- You can decline to provide information, though doing so may prevent us from producing an estimate.
6. Data retention
We retain intake records for as long as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, comply with our legal obligations, and support the sponsor firm's file on shared matters. Password gate sessions expire automatically after twelve hours.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information submitted to the Service. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties will never defeat those measures.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. If a minor is involved in the underlying incident, the adult guardian should complete the intake on their behalf.
9. Florida-only scope
The Service is offered only for matters arising in the State of Florida. If you are located outside Florida or your matter is not connected to Florida, please do not use the Service.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
